Why did I sample them? Well, why not?
It all started with a picture on a menu.......
I proclaimed my disgust. This spurred a heated conversation about their goodness. They were ordered. "How many saddles did we want?" the server asked.
Yes, saddles.
You can figure that one out, surely.
They were delivered to our table. Everyone dug in.
Except me.
Nevermind the fact that they LOOKED like frog legs, they were also still attached to the bone.
Oh dear.
But the pressure was mounting. I HAD to sample them.
Tough, a little fishy tasting ~ in all sense of the word.
They did NOT taste like chicken.
Never again.
Never!

Anticipation
With the threat of inclement weather occurring later this week, I'm filled with GREAT ANTICIPATION!
For another snow day, of course!
I can't take my eyes off of the radar. I keep refreshing the National Weather Service website. Take a look at the pending forecast (compliments of KY3)! What great snowfall predictions! That'll get us outta school on Friday, without a doubt!
You might wonder about my love for snow days. I analyzed this myself......
While I DO NOT want to go to school in June, I DO love unexpected days off! I suppose that makes me a "live in the moment" type of girl.
That's IT! I live for the moment. That's why the thought of a potential unexpected day off is so appealing!
I'm even planning ahead:
So come what may......
Even if I end up teaching reading, science, and math on Friday.
In that case, there will be a day in May where I'll be living in the moment.

- Get firewood in
- Buy groceries for some snow day baking
- Finish Eclipse
- Start Breaking Dawn
- Starbucks run
- Spend time at sister's with niece and nephew

Dr. Pepper Lip Gloss
I am a HUGE fan of Dr. Pepper. So when I discovered the lip gloss years ago, it became a stocking stuffer staple! Even friends recognized this addiction and added it to random gifts in years past. This year for my stocking, my mom and sister went on a lip gloss buying spree! They found numerous versions of the stuff......from left to right: a tall fat tube, a squeeze tube, a short fat tube, a clear gloss, and of course, the good old standby. I went wild! So many options!
Let me elaborate a little more about it's goodness. Dr. Pepper lip gloss smells good! It has a nice taste to it (not that I eat it)! And it leaves the perfect barely~there color on your pout! That's why you need more than one! You can't depend on one tube to get you through the day. And you surely wouldn't want to be left without access to it. You need one for your purse, another for your desk at work, and then two more at home (one in the nightstand and another in the bathroom). This is only to ensure you are never left without it.
In closing, I'd like to express my love for Dr. Pepper lip gloss. If this can help to change the lips of just one person, then I've done this outstanding product justice.

Daredevils
Sometimes you just need to break the rules.
That's when you smuggle Starbucks into the movie theater!
Next thing you know, you're sipping pumpkin spice lattes while watching the latest romantic comedy!
And feeling like SUCH a daredevil! Right, Nancy?

Snow Day
When you receive a phone call at 5:20 a.m. it can only mean one thing.........................
Snow days are good for lots of reasons:
1. After sleeping in, you can make a real breakfast, instead of eating a banana in your car on your way to work! AND you can make that breakfast for TWO. The husband didn't mind at all.
2. You can prepare a roast for dinner! It can cook all day and leave the house smelling delicious! And a few hours later, dinner is ready, with little effort other than peeling and cutting the potatoes!
3. You can make a Starbucks run,
because all snow days deserve a warm beverage. Peppermint White Chocolate Mocha, please! Gotta get the holiday flavors while you still can, since they'll be gone soon.
4. After the husband leaves for work, you venture out in the elements to spend some time with your family! A little peanut brittle sampling, a little niece and nephew snuggling, and a little homemade pizza with mom, dad, and sister really hit the spot on a cold snowy day.
5. Once you're back home, you bring some wood in to dry, in order to build a roaring fire! Having boots to traipse around in make getting that wood a little more bearable, not to mention fashionable!
6. You consider reading the book you've borrowed from a friend a few months ago. You've tried reading it numerous times. You don't get beyond the first page. You're resisting. Is it the whole craze surrounding it that's turned you off? You aren't sure, but the book remains closed. You're pretty sure you'll like it, like everyone says you will. So why not go for it? You still don't know. You're being difficult. Maybe you like going against the grain? Maybe you should just return the book?
7. Instead of reading, you make cookies! Now the house smells like roast and chocolate chips. Believe it or not, it's actually not a bad combination! And the cookie dough is a pretty tasty bonus.
8. You take a relaxing bubble bath and intend to read an US Weekly while doing so, but instead you get the hankering to read an actual book. And since Twilight is nearby, you grab it. Before you know it, you're on Chapter 2. You're still not hooked, but wait, what's this? Another snow day on Friday? What to do, what to do?
