Dear Winter,
Thank you.
Do you know the joy I felt when I saw my school district's name scrolling across the bottom of my television yesterday?
I was able to bake fudge brownie cookies for the mister (who was hard at work out in the elements).......
I managed to clean a bit. And decided to keep some vintage items meant for the booth because they made organizing scarves and makeup a little cuter.........
I took a bubble bath and read my favorite magazine......
Annnnd experimented with some ingredients to make my own dinner concoction.......
Then (and best of all) I found out I get to do it all again today.
Winter, your timing was perfect. You totally rock.
Love,
Danavee

ReplyDeleteThe snow day takes on a whole new meaning as adults. Have a great second snow day and an awesome weekend!
ReplyDeleteCountry Living is one of my favorite magazines, too. My very favorite used to be Country Home but they made it into a semi-annual thing and it's just not the same. Have a super snow day part 2!
ReplyDeleteI KNOW!!!!!!!!!!! Country Home was my FAVORITE.......I was so sad when they quit publishing monthly issues. :(
Delete2 snow days! Lucky girl. Enjoy your unexpected days off. Enjoy being indulgent and leisurely.
ReplyDeleteWe have SO much snow and hardly ever get a snow day (let alone two!)! Lucky you :) Enjoy the time to yourself! Love your vintage thingies, your plate, and your dinner looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Today was the opposite of yesterday! LAZY!!!!!!!
DeleteSo glad you got your snow days. I was hoping for another one today, but alas, I am baby-sitting again this morning. But I'm in yoga pants, so it's not too bad.
ReplyDeleteYahoo for snow days!!!! I have no idea what those feel like, but they sound fun! ;) And I want that fun little vintage crate for my scarves!!! So fun!!! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYay for snow days! We got hit with that same storm but it just dropped a ton of really cold rain on us. Yuk. :) Have fun today!
ReplyDeleteThe snow storm was a huge FLOP in central Iowa!! Enjoy your snow day!! :))
ReplyDeleteI HATEEEEE when that happens! All the hype, then letdown!!! :(
DeleteThose cookies look amazing! We school at home so snow doesn't affect us. Plus we've not really had any this year anyways. We take snow days sometimes when we just need to watch Anne of Green Gables all day, though. Even though my kids are little they love it. Coming over from InstaFriday.
ReplyDeleteI LOOOVE Anne of Green Gables!!!! Sounds like a good idea to me!!!
DeleteThose cookies look absolutely divine!
ReplyDeleteAnd there's nothing better than a relaxing bath with a good book/magazine!
