After a few gray, rainy days the sun finally came out! It was warm. We mowed. I loved it.
It also made me get the hankering for grilled burgers!
Cue a visit to Pinterest, where I had pinned a stuffed burger recipe that sounded like the perfect way to break in the grill.
Garlic Feta Burgers
1 lb. ground beef
1 teas. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teas. salt
1/4 teas. pepper
2 ounces crumbled feta
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teas. dried oregano
1 tbsp. Italian bread crumbs (optional)
Combine the hamburger, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and bread crumbs until well mixed. (Adding bread crumbs helps keep the burger from falling apart while grilling.) Form the beef into six very thin patties. Mix feta, garlic, and oregano in a small bowl. Add some feta mixture to the middle of three of the patties. Use the three remaining patties to cover the feta. Press the sides of each patty together to seal them closed. Grill burgers, flipping them at least once, until done (which depends on personal preference). Toast the inside of the buns on the grill right before serving them. Add hamburger to bun, top with leftover feta or condiments of your choice.
These were outstanding!!! The mister LOVED them! This recipe is a keeper.
I think that stuffed burgers are my new favorite domestic escapade. I have two more recipes lined up that I can't wait to try!
