Thrifting Frenzy

Some thrifting for me............some thrifting for the booth.

I'll definitely be keeping this vintage tartan Pendleton scarf...........

And I don't know who Gene is, but I think he's pretty great..........

Gene even signed it.

I think it's the sunglasses that reeled me in.

Tribal/geometric prints reel me in too.....

This baby is already in the booth.

It took great pains for me to part with it.

And this afghan was even harder to let go of.......

I even snatched it out of the booth when I went to leave.

Then I got halfway to my car and talked myself out of it.

I'll probably dream about it tonight.

  1. Love the Pendleton scarf! I found a Pendleton wool plaid shirt that I took to Leola's. I've been taking flannel shirts in lately and have sold quite a few. If the Pendleton had been bigger, I would have kept it. Have a great week! Jan

  3. That afghan is a thing of beauty! I'm so impressed that you were able to resist keeping it. It had to be such a hard choice! But how annoyed/mad would you be if one of the puppies decided it was his?! My aunts dog used to suck on her favorite blanket...gross!
And we already know how much I love that scarf! You're so lucky!

  10. Oh my GOD this is hilarious! My parents used to own a country bar/dance hall in Oklahoma in the 80s. Gene Watson must have performed there, because I used to wear all of my moms old vintage concert tees she got from the guests they had, and I had that exact shirt! I wore it all the time! Gene's an old school country singer, btw ;)

  11. That shirt!!!! I am cracking UP. It's definitely the glasses. And the perm. ;) I would have snatched up that blanket, too. I am in awe of your fortitude in letting it go.

  13. That scarf is AMAZING! I love Pendleton. One of my best finds was a vintage Pendleton pearl snap wool western shirt at a garage sale last year for a dollar. It fits like a glove :-)
