This week:
I finally spent some Christmas money and got this beautiful vintage Turkish kilim bag.....
I spent a little more money when I found the elusive middle bowls that would complete my Pyrex Butterprint set........
I made gnocchi soup for the first time and fell in love. Keeper recipe.........
I also fell in love with a project the art teacher did with my class............
And I maybe ate a whole sleeve of thin mints after they were delivered......
But isn't that why they sell them just once a year?
So you can gorge yourself silly?
In order to brighten up a harsh winter?
(I know you agree.)

LOVE that bag!!! It is so gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU!!!!!!!!! EEEEKKKK! I'd been stalking ebay and etsy for a long while before the right one (for a decent price) came up!!!
DeleteWhat a beautiful bag. How wonderful that you saved your Christmas money and found something so YOU and so one of a kind (which, is also very YOU). Loved the pyrex. I especially love what the art teacher did with your class. How cool is that?
ReplyDeleteYes! I love the bag, and the Pyrex set is adorable. I wish my mixing bowl was part of a set, but it's just the lone wolf in the cupboard. I need to get more milkglass!
ReplyDeleteThose nesting sets can get addictive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want the pink Pyrex too!
DeleteMy girl scout cookies aren't here yet so to tide me over I've been gorging on Cookie Dough Oreos...holy hell, my pants barely button now!
ReplyDeleteThose bowls are absolutely, FABULOUS!!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
Deletei totally agree!! i am so in love with that bag...and i might be making that soup this weekend!
ReplyDeleteI promise the soup is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteThat bag. It's like a piece of art! I would DIE to find one in the wild!
Love your Butterprint bowls! That is the print I'm currently illustrating to add to my vintage Pyrex art prints. My bff got a set of them for her bridal shower.
ReplyDeleteI reeealy love that purse, and the pyrex!- will you will it to me? You are the coolest!
ReplyDeleteI'll put your name on both!
DeleteThat soup looks delish! And can you believe that I have avoided GS cookies so far?! Crazy!

Hahah it's a good thing we can only get Girl Scout cookies once a year... imagine how many we would eat otherwise!

Um, that bag is gorgeous! And I am so jealous of those bowls - I never see them anywhere!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely eating girl scout cookies at my desk right now...
That bag is perfect and congrats on finding the elusive bowls. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the bag! Is it big enough to use for an overnight bag? Great find!
ReplyDeleteI never knew that Pyrex print was called Butterprint. I only have one small piece - the small rectangle refrigerator dish with a lid (I have no idea what the official name is). I'd love me some more! Where do you store your lovelies?!
IT IS!!!!!!!!! Actually, it's a piece of luggage! I didn't realize how big it'd be til it arrived!!!
DeleteMy nesting bowls are all tucked away in my vintage pie safe or an old general store cabinet I have!
I'm sorry to say that this post has made me incredibly jealous -- of that fabulous bag, your butterprint set, and (perhaps most of all) your GS cookies! I tried to resist the GS cookies this year and now I'm regretting not ordering. I'll have to hit up one of those tables outside the supermarket. ;)
ReplyDeleteAre thin mints like after eights? I love those!
ReplyDeleteI love that bag too, it's a great print!
