Happy New Year!!!!
Three weeks of blog neglect! EEEKKK! Time to catch up.
2013 ended with:
~A super cold football game up in Kansas City.........
~The yearly visit to Silver Dollar City to see the Christmas lights.....
~Nancy's first cave experience.......
~The viewing of a "classic" for the first time at the prompting of quite a few friends.......
~And a super fun mug exchange with my favorite girls.........
Instead of buying Christmas gifts for each other, we started having exchange parties.
We each brought a wrapped mug.....and then drew numbers to see who got to choose first. Stealing was encouraged.
We've also had a scarf exchange! Next up, we're exchanging doormats!
Those will be challenging to wrap!

Wow, looks like you had a super fun holiday! The mug/scarf exchange is a really good idea. Those are two things a girl can never have too much of!
ReplyDeleteWe are trying to think of other things to exchange too!!!!
DeleteI had to click through and comment solely for the leopard print blanket. :D
ReplyDeleteTrue die-hard fans when you're out braving the cold like that.
ReplyDeleteThe exchange party sounds like fun and from the way it looks; everyone had a good time.
what fun exchanges! so fun!
ReplyDeleteGood luck at school next week...although the forecast doesn't really look too good for you guys going back on Monday!
Sounds like a great time! thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteFun exchange ideas! I'm trying to plan a book exchange for sometime this winter - but mugs might have been easier. :)
ReplyDeleteAlso - what did you think of the movie?
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a mug of scarf exchange! That way everyone gets something similar, you probably spent about the same, and hopefully everyone is happy!

Doormat exchange. You cracked me up :)
ReplyDeleteWhat cave is that? And I love the idea of a doormat exchange! You could do so many fun things with gift exchanges. Ugly lamp exchange, silly craft exchange, bad gift re-gift exchange....
ReplyDeleteexchange parties- such a fun idea!
ReplyDeleteWAY cheaper than individual gifts!
DeleteWhat a fun end of the year!!! I hope 2014 is your best year yet, girlie!! :-)
ReplyDeleteWait. So, this was the first time you watched Christmas Vacation. Well, what did you think?
ReplyDeleteAnd, I love the idea of doing an exchange with friends. How brilliant...and fun.
Happy New Year! I haven't blogged or read blogs for ages. I've missed hearing about your life!
