Life (via Instagram)

This winter.

Normally I have to beg winter for a snow day or two.

We're up to eleven.

I have never taught in June.  I will be teaching in June.

Despite that sad fact, I still love my snow days.  I got to make the mister a real breakfast......

There were snuggles with Gizmo the mouth-breather........

I braved the elements for a lunch out with the sis.......

And before the weather rolled in this week, I ran to the grocery for some new-to-me ingredients (chorizo).  Because no Super Bowl gathering is complete without some sort of cheese dip.

Except our gathering had to be.........

It so did not look like the picture.

Pinterest fail.

I don't even want to talk about it.

  1. Oh no..I have many pinterest fails when it comes to cooking. I feel your pain. Love Gizmo and his gaping mouth. The restaurant with your sister looked fancy. And, 11 snow days! We've had 4. I'm over the snow.

  7. Chorizo is so good if it's prepared by someone that ISN'T me! I don't know why but it just never turns out when I make it. The kids around here will definitely be in school until June as well. It's sad :( Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

  9. I'm not sure about that being a Pinterst fail, it looked yummy to me! I'd totally eat it!
Too bad you'll be teaching in June. Hopefully the weather is yucky and rainy those days and you won't mind being stuck inside with a bunch of grumpy ass kids who don't want to be there. Movie days? : )
