Diary of a......

This year, I read a series of books that my students loved. There are three books in this series: Diary of a Fly; Diary of a Worm; and Diary of a Spider. The kiddos loved them so much, that they decided to write their own versions of these "diary" style books. I read page after page of random versions. A few of them were actually pretty cute. Here is an excerpt from one of the more creative versions.

Disclaimer: I DO teach them punctuation, capitalization, and spelling......sometimes when they write for fun, they forget to transfer that over!

"They're just jealous because they don't have a special fruit friend."

"Because I still get spanked and I don't have a beard."

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! Please tell me I'm not the only one who thought this was hilarious?
