This Week....

I got my decorating on.......

Still working on that dang special room.  This little vignette is atop my antique wardrobe.

My goal is to unveil the finished room all decked out for Christmas.

Missouri weather can change at the drop of a hat.  Yesterday went from 72 at noon to 46 by 4:00.  So that called for the first chili of the season......

And if I had thought ahead, I would have brought some wood in for the fireplace too.

Ohhhhh Sir Chester.......

This is a daily ritual.  Crawling under the table to scoop him up for his trips outside.

I'm pretty sure he's thinking, "If I don't look at her, maybe she won't see me."

It was Red Ribbon Week at school.  Which also means five themed days.  I fully participate in spirit week........

I'm pretty sure there is no other job in the world where you can take full advantage of looking ridiculous.  And on purpose.

We went to a haunted house with a group of friends.  Good, good times.......

Until the mister had Chucky follow me.

Turning around only to discover that you're clutching something other than your husband is tons of fun.

Trust me.  There were consequences.

  6. I can't wait for the weather to be chili appropriate, it is probably one of my favorite cold weather foods...well, more like any time food. I cannot imagine turning around and be holding Chucky's hand. Scare!!

  16. Oh how funny. I loved seeing your doggie. I can't believe he hides under the table. Little rascal. I spied a beautiful chandelier in the mirror, while looking at your lovely antique vignette. I am sure you are a favorite of the kids because you do fully participate in things. And, I would never go to a haunted house...if I ever were to go and my husband had Chuckie take his place, I most certainly would have had a heart attack and died. You must by WAY tougher than I am.

  17. I love your ppm ppm headband - totally more fun to participate than be a party popper! :)
And your pup - he is so cracking me up. This would be my pup if it weren't for the puppy pad in the bathroom. We lived in upper floor apartments for years so he is puppy pad trained and isn't fond of going outside unless the weather is perfect. And the yard is mowed. And we are out there with him. Geez, he's spoiled!
Hope you have an awesome weekend!

  19. That hotel of terror looks awful! And how fitting that some of the people outside had red eyes in your pic ;) I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to those kinds of things!
Your Uncle Sam shot is perfect. Now I think I want to go eat some chili...
