Spring break is here.
I just have to make it through Friday. Then I'll be footloose and fancy free for nine days.
The week leading up to spring break is usually long. Long enough that this was the scene by Wednesday........
Yes, I had a large Coke three nights in a row. Yes, all three ended up on my bathroom counter. Yes, they are all still sitting there.
I have nine days to clean the bathroom coming right up.

While work was tough this week (spring fever, you know) we did have some fun........
Now I want an owl.

More on work.
So, there's this gigantic bulletin board outside my classroom door.
Whomever invented bulletin boards can go jump in a lake.
Anyway, this monstrosity needed to be changed. The snowmen had had a good run........
Luckily, I share this bad boy with another teacher.
We decided to poll our classes.
Mine are avid believers.

Got a new blouse.........
Couldn't decide if I should knot the tie and let it hang orrrrr tie it in a little bow, shortening it up a bit.
What sayeth you?

And finally.
Leola's Spring Open House.
Looked forward to it alllll week. It never disappoints. Especially when you buy something awesome......
This little table and I have a long-standing relationship.
Once upon a time....
I spotted a photo of it when Pheona's posted their sale preview pictures on Facebook! I went to that sale specifically to buy it. I was too slow that morning. It had already been snatched up by the time I got there.
That was well over a year ago.
But clearly, this story has a happy ending!
A vendor at Leola's purchased it. It ended up in her booth.
And now it's mine.
We will live happily ever after.
The End!

oh yes, I teach art and this has been a LONG week! I thought Wednesday was Friday at one point!
ReplyDeleteSo cool that you got to see the falcon & owl so close! I would love that! And I am just in love with the outfit....I like it long & hanging down, but really you can't go wrong :) you look great :)
ReplyDeleteI think your new blouse looks great either way. So glad you found your table....you & Andrea are the best. We soooooo appreciate your loyalty & your friendship. Enjoy those mojitos (sp) in those lovely glasses during your lovely vacation. Hope you can go back to work with a lovely sun tan. Thanks a bunch! Jan
ReplyDeleteI need to go to this leola's place. I like the shirt tied in a bow, and real owls look a lot scarier than fake ones!
ReplyDeleteI like that blouse! (My favorite way is tied.) And that table is wonderful!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! I do think the "tied" votes have it!
DeleteI want a pet owl, I believe in leprechauns, I love your leopard tied, and I love love love the table!
ReplyDeleteHA! This is my favorite comment! I LOVE YOU!
DeleteIt's my kids' spring break too, but we get an extra day starting today. Yay? Teachers are the best! Also, I like the tie on the blouse up so it doesn't hang down past the length of the blouse. Because with me, it would inevitably go between my legs causing a tail! Enjoy your time off. I can't wait to see what you do with your free time :)
ReplyDeleteIt DID get caught when I'd sit down, so tying it up was a way better idea!
DeleteHappy spring break to you!!!!!!
The kids must've loved seeing the owls up close! I think I'd tie that cute blouse! Have a great weekend :)

THANKS! Yes, the kiddos were very excited about the birds!
DeleteYay for spring break! I have the same problem with my bathroom counter when I get stressed (except mine are sonic cups). :) The owls look awesome (I had one fly into my windshield once while I was driving. Freaked us both out. Thankfully he shook himself out and flew away. Crazy) I like the blouse better with the bow, although both ways are awesome and finally I love the little table thingy. Cool! :)
ReplyDeleteTie it in a bow!! :) And happy spring break! Ours is next week too! Enjoy cleaning the bathroom while you are off! ;)
ReplyDeleteI like the bow. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of the bow as well. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! I think the bow wins!
Deletehi! visiting from life rearranged link up! cute table!!! glad it finally made its way home to you!!!
ReplyDeleteBulletin boards are of the devil - as was the class I had to take all about bulletin board rules. Enjoy your break!!
ReplyDeleteLucky duck with you and your spring break. :-) Also, finding the stool you wanted after a year? Amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThis is the time of year that I wish I were a teacher. 9 days off sounds amazing! But then I remember there are kids involved, and I remember why I'm not a teacher! HAHAH!! Love the top, and voted on IG for it to be tied. Good luck with the bathroom cleaning!

Your posts always make me smile. I am glad your story with the stool had a happy ending. Those are some LARGE Cokes! I vote for the shorter tie and your new blouse. I can't believe the zoo came to visit you. Did Sir Chester give you a few extra sniffs that day or does he not care about owls?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your spring break! I'm going to visit Kati for hers... wish you lived closer... it would be fun to get together during the break!
ReplyDeleteLittle bow and shorter, definitely. Yes, bulletin boards are the worst! I know how you feel about the cups still being there. That's my life (a mess) every week until the weekend! Enjoy your spring break. I've got three weeks and p/t conferences before mine! Yuck!
ReplyDeleteOHHHH! Spring P/T conferences!?!?! YUCK! I'm sorrrry! BUT a spring break afterward will be great! We only do fall conferences!
DeleteHA! The collection is stillll there. Ohhh welll.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU! I was super excited to see it there!
I love the table and the blouse! You can't beat a great find!
