Lately, the thrifts have been lame. So lame that I've walked out empty-handed on more than one occasion.
And really, my trip this weekend wasn't outstanding, but I did finally get in line at the register.
Silverware trays were in abundance. These both caught my eye......
I can't pass up a good cork board. Especially when it's adorned with an eagle.......
Found the matching skirt to a blazer I bought WEEKS ago......
And stole this mirror from my mom's garage sale pile........
I've been having better luck snatching things from my parent's garage sale pile than at the thrifts.
And those items are free.
However, the mister might be ready to ban the-plucked-from-the-pile-bunny......
He thinks it watches him with "its beady eyes".
He called it creepy.
Poor thing.
The bunny, that is.

See you got your open house card.....yea!!!! I realized the other day when I walked out of one of the stores that I didn't have to use hand sanitizer because I hadn't even taken my hands out of my pockets. Oh, well, pretty soon we'll have garage sales again. Jan
ReplyDeleteCute skirt! And that is a great cork board! I am in need of one of those! Aw...I like your little velveteen rabbit....it would be sad to see him go :(
ReplyDeleteHa. You make me laugh. Poor bunny, of course :). I can't believe you found the skirt to the blazer you bought weeks before. Lucky you! The mirror from your mom's garage sale is great! I love that Sir Chester was in the picture as well. Great finds.
ReplyDeleteI love thrifting! Such a bummer when you walk away empty handed. The mirror is a fabulous consolation though. :)

DeleteI bought a whole stack of classic books this week. I would love to find a framed cork board like that. I'm actually hoping not to find anything really good lately because we're moving in a few months and I'm trying to have less things to pack. Your dog is adorable :)
