What I Wore (thrifted gingham)

I noticed a common theme in my Instagram feed today.

Two similar pictures.  About a week apart.

I guess this is what I'd call my school uniform.

My favorite boots, skinnies of some sort, Starbucks.   And lately, gingham button down shirts.

I like gingham.  Is gingham still cool even?  Do I care?  While at the thrift I always skim the racks for it.

These were both found with the original tags still attached at a local thrift shop.........the gray is from Gap...........and the chartreuse is J. Crew (eeeekkk)!!!

With the weather being so fickle ~ spring one day, sleet the next ~ this is a good season-transition type of outfit.  I can roll my sleeves if it's warm........or unroll them if it's chilly and throw on a cardigan.

The Starbucks is just an addiction.

Or an accessory?

  3. Oooohh I vote that Starbucks is an accessory! I think I'm going to steal that phrase from you and use it when people ask about my need to have it all the time :)

  5. Love gingham. It screams summer to me. So I tried Goodwill this past Saturday. Total bust. The racks were so incredibly packed that I could barely even pull anything off the rack to look at. Needless to say I went home empty handed.

  6. So cute! I just found a true vintage pink gingham dress last week. It will go in my booth though since I can rock neither gingham nor pink ;-)

  12. Which thrift store are you using in town? I get so overwhelmed when I attempt, that I always end up leaving before finding any keepers.

  14. Love the school uniform!

gingham is always cool, as far as I'm concerned. I only have one shirt so far and I always make sure to wear it when I roast marshmallows in the spring/summer. It just feels right. (I wear a flannel when I roast in the winter).
