Lately (in Instagram)

Last week, my fourth grade team showed up to work in our school shirt..........totally not planned...........except for me........

I do not think it's possible to love the people I work with more than I already do.  I am seriously so blessed to have not only a great fourth grade team, but a building full of amazing co-workers.

I hung my favorite piece from Grampy's house.........

He would hang his hats and jackets from it.  It makes me happy.

Are you judging the wallpaper right now?

I know you are.

I have plans for it, you know.  Give me a break.

We went to bed Wednesday night with the hopes of a snow day........

I know what I said last week.

A girl can change her mind, right?!?!

*   *   *   *

No such luck......

It melted by noon.

Then came Valentine's Day..........

The.  Longest.  Day.  Of.  A.  Teacher's.  Life.

*   *   *   *

But I survived.

So the mister and I had a romantical Mexican dinner.

With the Schlager's........

Chips and queso.

Screams Valentine's Day.

Who needs chocolate or roses?

  2. Love your pics! I had to laugh at VDay being the longest day of a teacher's life. I can only imagine.

  4. Your posts make me happy. I celebrate Valentine's day as room mom, to Grace's preschool class and it wore me out. I can only imagine an entire day of celebrating with 4th graders! I love that you have something of your grandpa's hung in your house, guaranteed to bring back happy memories every time you look at it. How funny that your team all wore the same tee shirt. And, I'd rather have Mexican food any day than roses :)

  5. What does it say about me that all I can focus on in that last picture are the beverages?? I'm sure you earned those after your day at school!

  6. Yes! I always feel for teachers on Valentine's Day. And then it's not much better for us at home after. Although, I suppose I only have 3 vs. a room full! And that Mexican dinner sounds good right now! Have a lovely weekend!

  16. a great grade level teaching team is key - that is the one thing I miss about teaching elementary school. in my experience, middle school teachers work together very differently than elementary teachers! love your blog, just found it from the monday hop - vintage lovin' teacher, I'll be reading much more ;)
