1. The thrifting this week was outta this world. I can't wait to share more of my finds in a post next week! For now, here's a peek at my stash........
2. I have not been to the mall this summer at all. Until yesterday. So I may have gone a little crazy when I hit up Old Navy. Stripes and gingham and polka dots. Oh my.........
3. My little nephew played in his very first t-ball game. And he was numero uno to bat. It was the cutest. I especially loved how he walked to every. single. base.
4. We can't get enough of the lake and were thankful to get an invite for an evening on the water. Swimming at night is the best. And the mister got to show off his slalom skills.......
5. Sir Chester is mostly a quiet dog. Unless provoked. Especially in his own backyard.....
As if raccoons weren't enough on our camping trip.
That is normal, however.
Opossums in the city are not. Especially right outside our backdoor.
Sir Chester was not happy.
Well, me neither!
Just another reason why I am exempt from mowing the backyard.

We have all sorts of critters at our place, but then I live kind of off the beaten path.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Old Navy haul. I'm addicted to that place!!
PS. if that is a fabric covered travel case I so want it!!
Looks like you are all set for the 4th with your Old Navy finds :) red, navy, and white are my favorites. We didn't keep a snake count this year!! Although I don't do yard work at all anymore, thank you husband.
ReplyDeleteWe have those nasty varmints in our backyard too! High five on the Old Navy haul! You did good, lady!! Have a great weekend!

oooh nice! can't wait to see your thrifted finds and upcoming outfit posts with those cute new clothes!!
ReplyDeleteThe plaid travel case is awesome! I live in the country so we have raccoons and opossums in the yard a lot. My almost 17 year old dog (who just passed away this week) would catch opossums and carry them around in her mouth. Didn't kill them - just carried them. The last time she did this was about a month ago - I don't know how she caught them as she really couldn't see or hear anymore but her nose never stopped working! Ugly little creatures.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about your pooch :( I'll be thinking about you.
Deleteall those Old Navy finds are killing me! Too bad I've already used my "fun" money this month...but a new month begins on Sunday I may need to make a trip!
ReplyDeleteNasty, ugly varmint. So gross.... Thought I should put that pic on my phone and act like it was in our yard so I would be exempt from yard work... only I don't do any of it anyway! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHA! Yeah, I'm sort of exempt anyway too. Last year's snake sighting did me in.
DeleteEwww, I hate opossums! When I lived in downtown Springfield I saw one creeping up on my dog one night... talk about disturbing. She definitely wouldn't have won that fight!
ReplyDeleteOpossums are kind of creepy, but I'd take one of those in my yard over a skunk anyday. Great snaps!
ReplyDeleteEw, are they mean? He looks mean! I'm terrified of rattle snakes. We've come across a few. Scary!

I totally love that your dog's name is Sir Chester. So proper and gentlemanly. :D And holy cow! I need to go to old navy. Ironically, today was my first day at the mall all summer too, but baby k couldn't hold out much past F21. You know how it goes in there :) Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteThank you! He's not the most regal looking, but I sure like him! Yes, next time skip F21 and go straight to Old Navy!!!
DeleteCute finds, Cute clothes, Super cute nephew, Not so cute creatures!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your full post of thrifted goodies. And were any of your Old Navy items on clearance?

Great pics. Waterskiing looks like such a blast. But eww to the opossum . Any animal without hair on its tail just grosses me out.
