While preparing for the big garage sale last week, I took a trip down memory lane. When I cleaned out my closet.
Yes, a few very important articles of clothing were stuffed at the very back. And I couldn't help myself. I just had to play dress up.
Item number one, my senior prom dress.
Then........
Theme: Bed of Roses by Bon Jovi (you do the math) |
Now.........
Dyed to match everything. Good times. Those were the days.
Yes, I wore my prom dress outside. Luckily, no neighbors were lurking about. And the mister was gone. Self-timers are awesome.
Next up, my favorite top, purchased especially for my senior pictures, complete with shoulder pads.
Then.......
Now........
I really tried to recreate the pose. Only I didn't have a director's chair.
I wish I had a fog machine.
And big hair.
Like I said, those were the days.

Haha I love this post! Such a great idea. Sadly I threw all my clothes awkward clothes away, otherwise I would do somethin similar. Love this. :)
ReplyDeleteYessss! This is one of my favorite posts, ever! I worked at About Faces my senior year.
ReplyDeleteBest post ever. I love the recreated poses. Love. Them.
ReplyDeleteI love this!!! Those were the days!! Now I have an urge to listening to Bon Jovi!
ReplyDeleteFun stuff! And you still fit into everything so that's just awesome! Looks like you might want to plan a date night with the mister.
ReplyDeleteLove this! You look great! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you can still fit in your high school gown! I would be ripping off my gown if I ever try to wear it now. You still look like the same as before...just better now. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this!! You are a piece of work! And you can seriously still wear the clothes you wore in HS! NOT FAIR!!!

ReplyDeletethis is amazing!!!!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA this is awesome. You're my WIWW hero.
ReplyDeleteOh my - love this! How did you hold onto these items? And the director chair...awesome! I have some middle school ones featuring that item and a gumball machine prop. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a great post! Hang onto all those pieces... you will be able to wear them to 80s and 90s parties. Or someday or kids will be able to wear them to those parties!
ReplyDeleteI am just dying for a reason to wear them somewhere!!!!!
DeleteMaybe you should throw your own retro party! Hmm.... lots of possibilities there!
DeleteWow! First off so cool that you can still wear stuff from high school. Secondly you still look amazing in both items, although perhaps not on trend. ;) Except for the cobalt blue which is very much in at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI love this post soooo much!!! I could never fit into my high school clothes. They were all size 5-6 now I were a 10-12....a lot has changed for me since 1978, lol. You look terrific. I hope you will share this fun post at the hop today xo
ReplyDeleteYou are one lucky gal to have your prom dress still fit you ... lol. I enjoyed my visit today.
ReplyDeleteLove the outfits! I'm a new blog follower coming over from a blog hop, would love if you followed back at I Heart Pears
ReplyDeleteHow fun!! I love that you can still pull it all off!!! Cute!
ReplyDeleteLove everything about this post! Although, I am a little concerned you didn't put your blue hose on for the photo now. I know you still have those. ;) XOxo!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! That was my prom dress too. No joke! Mine was purple - yours looks a little more blue in the photo. 1993? My mother tried to talk me out of it and go for a floor-length green one that I could have worn to a million other things. NO. I was stuck on the purple one. I couldn't fit into it today even if it was still in my possession. You look great!
ReplyDeleteIt's really amazing how all of this stuff recreates itself and comes right back in style. Had I known that, I would've kept everything in my closet..
