Thrifting Frenzy

After we cleaned out our garage a week ago (and went on a shopping spree to Branson) I put myself in a timeout.

A spending freeze.

This extended from thrift excursions to the mall.  Even online shopping was banned.

It lasted about three days.

I went thrifting annnd purchased a shirt online.

Now stop wagging your finger at me.

You wouldn't have been able to resist these items either....

That right there is green perfection.  The Samsonite suitcase is not going anywhere.  M.I.N.E.

Then there was the most amazing dress.  This vintage frock was so fashion forward.  So before its time.....

It is heading straight to alterations.  And I can't wait to wear it.

Next I found a brand new Forever 21 romper......with tags attached.......and it was laced with mint green......

A vintage top.  Ridiculous.  But awesome...

And just to even things out, I did purchase a few things that are already in the booth.......

But now the spending freeze begins.

Again.

However, I have the willpower of a kid in a candy store.

Sooooo.  I give it about a week.

  12. I've had those kind of spending freeze moments....that last as long as yours. Luckily for me, there's nothing worthwhile to buy around here lately! Remember, you always need to stock the booth, right? I can't wait to see your dress after alterations. It is A-dorable!!

  17. I had two suitcases like that, but in brown. They were a set, so the one fit inside the other. I was SO sad to get rid of them when we moved!

  18. I spotted a turquoise blue carry on that appeared to be in good condition, and I picked it up, and opened it to see if the lining was intact. The smell of mothballs was so strong that it gave me whiplash! Do you know of anything to get rid of the mothballs smell so that in future I wouldn't have to pass up on such a treasure?

    1. I have heard vinegar or baking soda can help!!! A dish of vinegar or a box of baking soda left in the bottom will supposedly soak up the odor!!!
