Cat's got my tongue the last few days, I guess.
I had intended on publishing a post about how much I love my new duvet cover. Or about how I'm throwing a Bachelorette Season Premiere party tonight. But in light of the tragic events of yesterday, all of those things seemed pretty petty.
Imagine losing everything you own.
A duvet wouldn't seem too important.
My best bud from college, who was my roommate from our dorm days, lost everything last night. Her home was leveled in the Joplin tornado. And one of her precious dogs hasn't been found. The other dog found, but in poor condition at a vet's office. Luckily, she wasn't home at the time.
My heart is breaking for her and so many others that lost everything. Please send up some prayers for my friend Angi and the people of Joplin.
You said it so well. I thought how trivial today when I was groaning about the rain. So sorry about your friend & so hopeing she finds her dog. She's in my prayers. Jan
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way but then realized that's a lot of what people need just light fun, a distraction from all the real life. Sorry about your friend, I don't think my sister has still come to terms with how lucky she was and how close she was to losing everything.
