What I Wore (to a meeting)

So yesterday required me to be at a curriculum meeting instead of the classroom.

That meant two things........

I probably should not test the colorful skinny jeans boundaries as I would be at the district central office.

And the room we were meeting in is usually set to Arctic type temperatures.

Basically, I needed to be warm and blend in.

Khaki skinnies and layers to the rescue..........

But this outfit also was good for two other reasons.....

I am working on a no-new-clothes-buying-in-January resolution.  (Baby steps, people.)  Soooo I shopped my own closet and re-found that sweater, which I had forgotten, but love.

Annnd it proves to you that I have other boots.

Some of you maybe were getting worried that I only had one pair..........

I do occasionally wear something other than my favorite boots ever.

So, while not too exciting, this outfit packed a whole lotta punch.

It was my warm resolution keeper.

  2. That sweater looks warm and comfy! I'm trying to shop my own closet more too. And I always wear the same pair of boots also...my readers are probably so bored of seeing them all the time, ha.

  5. I wish I was wearing that sweater today because it's a little cold here in Houston. Not sure what I was thinking when I packed a short sleeve shirt.

I love your brown boots and would probably wear then everyday if I had them!

  11. I also have a no new clothes resolution. And I am also doing a no repeat outfit in January too. Just to make sure I'm being creative. Love the clothes, especially the chambray shirt and red pants. I need both in my wardrobe...in February.

  18. I wish there were enough clothes in my closet for me to "forget" that I had something :) Sadly, I'm trying to bulk mine up as much as I can.

This is a cute outfit. Definitely something I'd wear.

  20. Do you normally wear colored skinnies in the classroom? I was just blogging about work pants today myself- I've been having trouble getting out of black pants, but am a little afraid of going that bold... what do you normally wear on a workday pants wise?

  22. Don't you love when you rediscover something you your closet you completely forgot about?! And I've been wearing the same pair of boots again and again this winter, too, though I don't think there's as much photographic proof.

Anyway. I think this looks cozy and cute. :)

And let me know if you figure out the trick to the no-clothes-buying for the month thing, because I SUCK at that, haha.
