Awhile back, I purchased this skirt.........
windsor.com |
But I hadn't worn it as I was stumped on how it should be styled. I tried it with a black top, and it looked terrible.
So to Pinterest I went......
Maybe this skirt wasn't so difficult.
A simple white top never entered my mind. I could do that..........
And stripes? Insane!!! But if the stripes matched.....
The whole mixing patterns thing is a little out of my comfort zone, even though I like it on other folks.
Tell me people. Which would you wear.....
Basic or bold?

What a great skirt and I love both of the ways you wore it! ~Visiting from WIWW~
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!!! Glad you stopped by!!
DeleteLove it with the stripes. It's fun! The other way looks great, too.
ReplyDeleteBoth are super cute! The white is classic, of course, but the stripes add a bit of spunk to the outfit :)
ReplyDeleteBecause I'm boring, I'd probably wear the white, but I do really like how the stripes look with that skirt. Go bold! :)
ReplyDeleteBoth ways are really cute! I never would have thought to pair stripes and polka dots, but it looks great! That skirt is adorable, and you look amazing in it! :)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute and French! No kidding!
ReplyDeleteLink to the French party on Monday? My readers would love it!

Can I just have your closet? If it's anything as cute as these pins, then you must have the BEST clothes! Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteI am actually a HUGE fan of a simple white tee. Love this skirt!
ReplyDeleteI love all the ways, but, dare I say, I would pair it with a turquoise or teal top. Oohhhh...
ReplyDeleteWell I for one am going to thank you for all the Pinterest pics because I have the same skirt. And its still hanging on my clothing rack with the tags still on it. I loved it but once it came I also felt like I didnt know what to do with it. I appreciate this post:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great skirt! And I'm glad you mentioned a basic white tee because I always overlook that option too, but it's perfect for full skirts. Personally, I sort of think of stripes as a neutral that you can mix with other prints. Great job!

I would wear either choice! I just tried pattern mixing this past week for the very first time. I was nervous, but didn't do anything crazy and had pieces that were similar colors like you did. Go for it! :)
